Mark 3 Mirror in the water for the first time in Ireland

Pre season training for the Mirror class started at RNIYC on Sunday 10^th February, with much interest in the first launch of three of the new Mk 3 glass fibre boats built by Winder. The modern internal layout including centre sheeting main together with a very high standard of finish impressed all the sailors. Despite light wind conditions throughout the day the three new boats appeared fast when compared against Irish champion Mike Hill sailing one of the latest Duffin timber boats. A good days training was had by all six boats and a few more crews are expected to join over the next few weeks.
